Keith Sumner Custom Homes

"Custom Homes with Taste and Style Built In"

Construction Process From Start to Finish

Tuckaway Ridge Mountain Cabin is only one of many Keith Sumner Custom Homes and was completed in July, 2006.  The below photos were taken during the construction process, which took about six months.  This website is maintained by satisfied customers Steve and Terri Tucker, the owners of Tuckaway Ridge.  We have nothing but good things to say about Keith Sumner.  He delivered what he promised through a family run business (run by Keith), with the crew managed by his brother-in-law, Daniel, and various sub-contractors.  They did a fantastic job as you will see in this reverse-chronological order of the construction process.  If you are interested in Keith building you a custom home in Gilmer, Union, or Fannin County (central Northern Georgia), please email us and we will put you in touch with Keith.

Ms. Cooks and Marmar's Room

The quilt on the wall was made by Terri's great-grandmother and was made from the dresses that her maternal grandmother (Marmar) wore as a little girl.

Ms. Cook's and Marmar's Room

The furniture belonged to Ms. Cook. Ms. Cook was like a grandmother to Terri and lived directly across the street from Terri as she grew up in Atlanta, GA.

Two very special people to Terri, their memories live on.

The Bunk Room

Two Standard Size Beds, and Two Custom-Cut 55" mattresses round out an ideal place for the kids.

Parking for Two!

Once you do get up to the top you will find a parking pad with room enough for two cars. There is also a way to turn around and go down front first. Also note the boulder wall that Keith built!

The Jenn Air Grill

This is the proper position to use this powerful grill - it must be used on the open part of the deck (not under a covered deck and never in the screen room). It can not be within 2 feet of any wood surface.
